You’re the woman that everyone around you looks up to and admires. On paper, it looks like you’re at the top of your game. You’ve got the degrees, the title, maybe even the home that you’ve always dreamed of among some other proverbial boxes you’ve been able to check off, but inside you’re spiraling and struggling. Maybe it’s anxiety, stress, grief, past traumas or recent losses (or all of these) that have you feeling off.  Whatever it is, it’s starting to affect your relationships and probably your physical health. Something has to change now….

Maybe you’re that couple that’s trying to create the culture of your relationship, but it’s so challenging because you’re coming from different backgrounds and cultures. Or maybe you’re trying to figure out how to adjust to a new stage in life. You’re both slammed with all of life’s obligations and trying to achieve your individual goals, but somedays it feels like your partner is your nemesis instead of your biggest supporter. Where do you even begin to get back on track? How do you get past the anger and resentments that have been building?

It can be difficult to admit you need help to sort it all out and figure out how to heal and move forward. It can be even harder to find a professional who gets you and you can trust.

I help adults and couples cope with:

  • Stress

  • Trauma

  • Mood Disorders

  • Anxiety Disorders

  • Perinatal Mood Disorders/Maternal Mental Health

  • Fertility Challenges

  • Couples Therapy/Marital Counseling

  • Life Transitions (such as loss, relocation, career change and/or starting a business)

Counseling, evaluations, and executive coaching services are provided virtually with limited in person appointments available in Westchester County, NY and Fort Lauderdale, FL.

My Counseling and Coaching Approach

As a psychotherapist, executive coach, and yoga & mindfulness meditation teacher, I offer potential clients a few different ways to work with me. The common thread through all my services is using a mind-body approach to help my clients center their emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual health. When we are healthy, we have the energy and wherewithal to make the changes we want to see in our lives and relationships. My clients have often shared that they appreciate my professionalism and down to earth nature in our work together.

Coaching & Consulting for Executives & Professionals:

Executive Coaching:

1:1 and group coaching services are provided to professional and entrepreneurial women who want to get to the next level in their career and/or start a service-based business while being in alignment with their personal goals and ideal lifestyle.

We use the Energy Leadership Index (ELI) Assessment to help bring awareness to how the client’s beliefs, thoughts, feelings and actions may be preventing from them from achieving their goals and how to go about changing them. Brainspotting can also help clients with overcoming internal blocks and obstacles to their professional and personal growth.

Services are provided virtually with in person appointments available in Tuckahoe, NY and Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Professional Consultation for Mental Health Professionals:

This service offering is a blend of clinical consultation, mentorship and business coaching for mental health professionals. Establishing your career and business as a mental health professional is often impacted by your clinical confidence and experience and these two areas need to be addressed simultaneously.

With almost two decades of experience as a psychotherapist, coach, and clinical instructor, I enjoy helping other professionals thrive in their practice by helping to fill the knowledge gaps that weren’t included in our graduate training programs.

Evaluations:

Assisted Reproduction Consultations & Evaluations:

Care and compassion coupled with honesty and information form the foundation of the process I use to help my clients who are seeking to expand their families through assisted reproduction. As a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), each consultation is conducted following guidelines outlined by the ASRM and meeting the requirements of most fertility clinics.

The consultation is intended to help you address psychosocial factors that may arise as a result of expanding your family through assisted reproductive measures. Each session is 90 minutes and the number of sessions will vary depending on your unique circumstances.

Immigration Mental Health Assessments:

Immigration can be a wary process especially if you are having difficulty becoming a citizen or staying in the country. It’s hard to imagine being separated from the life you have built here and the people who depend on you.

An objective mental health assessment can be an asset on the pathway to citizenship or being able to remain in the U.S. legally, if you have one of the following cases:

  • Asylum: You have fled from your home country and are in the U.S. seeking asylum from persecution in your home country due to being a member of a target social group.

  • Extreme Hardship (I-601 or I601A) Waivers: A U.S.citizen or legal resident can petition for an undocumented family member who is at risk of having to leave the country. If the waiver is granted it allows the family member to stay in the country.

  • VAWA (Violence Against Women Act): Non-citizen spouses and children are provided with special protections as a result of being battered by a spouse who is a U.S. citizen or legal resident. It also covers instances where an older adult is in need of special protections as a result of being abused by an adult child who is a U.S. citizen or legal resident.

  • U Visa: This is for undocumented immigrants who have been the victim of certain crimes and have suffered significant mental or physical abuse as a result. They have been helpful to law enforcement in the investigation & prosecution of criminal activity.

I collaborate with clients and their attorneys to conduct mental health assessments for these types of cases. The assessments are conducted over two 90 minute sessions. Clients will receive a written report summarizing the mental health assessment that their attorneys can add to their file.

Services are provided virtually with in person appointments available in Tuckahoe, NY and Fort Lauderdale, FL.
