My Story:

Growing up, I was always fascinated by how people think, learn, and experience the world in different ways. This curiosity led me to pursue a career where I could make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Whether it’s helping a child discover their learning superpowers or supporting a professional in navigating their cognitive strengths and challenges, I am here to make that journey as smooth and empowering as possible.

My Background in Psychology & Counseling:

Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with students and clients from diverse backgrounds, guiding them through the complexities of learning, psychological, and neurodevelopmental conditions. My specialized training in neurodiversity and learning differences has equipped me to conduct evaluations that lead to individualized educational plans (IEPs) and personalized academic and/or workplace accommodations, enabling students and employees to excel in their unique ways.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Miami, a Master of Science and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and an MBA from Strayer University. I also completed a post-graduate Certificate in Learning Differences and Neurodiversity from Landmark College.

I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including private practice, inpatient and outpatient behavioral health hospitals, and community center programs. I also have worked in higher education administration and as a professor of psychology, sociology, and technology for 17 years. After these experiences in various therapeutic and educational settings, I have found myself driven back to psychological assessment in order to delve deeper into the root causes of learning, emotional, or behavioral challenges.

I am passionate about understanding the complexities of human behavior. Assessments offer a more comprehensive way to uncover the underlying factors that impact a person’s functioning. Psychological evaluations provide a unique opportunity to pinpoint precise areas of difficulty or strength, guiding more targeted and effective interventions and ultimately helping people—whether children, adolescents, or adults—gain a clearer understanding of themselves and make informed decisions about the best path forward.

Fun Facts:

Outside of work, I find joy in a variety of activities that keep me creative and grounded. I love spending time in the kitchen, cooking and baking new recipes that bring people together, whether it's a simple meal or a special treat. Traveling is another passion of mine; I’m always eager to explore new places, experience different cultures, and find inspiration in the world around me.

When I’m not exploring new flavors or destinations, you can often find me piecing together jigsaw puzzles—a hobby that not only satisfies my love of problem-solving but also gives me a sense of accomplishment as each piece falls into place. Creativity is a big part of who I am, and I love working on art projects or crafts, as well as experiencing musical theater through live performances.

Living in South Florida, one of my favorite simple pleasures is taking evening walks with my family during the beautiful winter months. It’s a perfect way to unwind, enjoy the outdoors, and reflect on the day. These moments of relaxation and connection fuel my energy for the work I do, allowing me to approach challenges with a fresh perspective.
